Drivers of plug-in vehicles will soon find topping up their mileage even more convenient, thanks to 84 new plug-in vehicle fast charging bays being installed in Leeds.  

The next stage in the transformation of Leeds City Rail Station’s main entrance and surrounding area will begin next month (March).

Plans aim to address a high number of casualties along this route whilst providing safer, alternative travel options for Headingley and Hyde Park’s residents. 

Senior councillors in Leeds are set to reaffirm their commitment to fully supporting the delivery of mass transit across West Yorkshire, as part of the council’s response to the West Yorkshire Combined Authority's Mass Transit Vision 2040 consultation.

Leeds City Council has released new visuals showing how City Square may look once highways works have been completed, and cars and general traffic are permanently diverted away from the area.

Motorists are being urged to plan ahead when travelling into Leeds city centre this weekend, using alternative methods of transport or allowing extra time for journeys to avoid being affected by traffic congestion.
