Full council to formally approve appointment in November

Leeds City Council has confirmed the appointment of Mariana Pexton as interim chief executive in a unanimous vote of its full council.

Leeds City Council chief executive Tom Riordan has confirmed his leaving plans after being appointed to a leading role in driving the improvement of health outcomes across the country. 

Today, representatives of the Roma community met with Leeds City Council to express their concerns about a family matter yesterday (18 July 2024).

Leeds City Council’s Chief Executive Tom Riordan today announced his intention to leave at the end of the year to explore new opportunities.
