A major programme to install £25.3m of green upgrades across 40 public buildings has hit a significant milestone with Leeds City Council confirming that installation work has now completed at more than half of the sites.

Leeds Civic Leaders Plant Tree in Honour of Her Majesty the Queen's Platinum Jubilee

In a civic ceremony attended by Deputy Lord Lieutenant, Sue Baker JP, on Friday (11th March 2022), the Lord Mayor of Leeds, Cllr. Asghar Khan, and Leader of Leeds City Council, Cllr. James Lewis planted a young Acer Palmatum (Atropurpureum) tree at Golden Acre Park to mark Her Majesty the Queen's Platinum Jubilee.
