Update on council's financial position

The deputy leader of Leeds City Council has reiterated his call for a funding solution, to address the backlog of maintenance issues across schools in Leeds.

New state of the art gyms have been unveiled at three popular Active Leeds leisure centres, as part of the council’s ambition to get more people moving.

Leeds City Council has joined forces with the Rhinos Foundation as part of a campaign to encourage people to check-in with their mates and help normalise conversations around mental health and suicide, particularly among  men.

The final phases of improving Leeds City Square and its surrounding areas begin on Monday 4 September, with overnight road closures in place to complete highways surfacing works.
