Musicians on song for library’s historic music hall revival
Vintage Victorian music hall tunes have been brought back to life this week for a series of historic performances more than a century in the making.
The corridors of Leeds Central Library are being filled with the sounds of once popular ballads which last entertained audiences in the city’s theatres and concert venues at the turn of the 19th century.

Amorous arachnids searching for love on the web during spider season
Spiders weaving their way into homes across the country this autumn are out “looking for love” museum experts in Leeds have revealed.
With eight-legged visitors currently a more frequent sight for residents around the UK, curators at the Leeds Discovery Centre have taken the chance to study their impressive collection of amazing arachnids while busting some myths and misconceptions about spider season.

Baton of Hope passes through Leeds on World Suicide Prevention Day
UPDATE: The Baton of Hope suicide prevention tour arrived in Leeds today and has been travelling across the city, carried by 84 baton bearers, all bereaved or affected by suicide. A selection of images can be downloaded below.
