Big birds: Curator of natural sciences Sarah Burhouse conserves the towering skeleton of a full grown adult ostrich, the world’s largest bird. Believed to date from around 1841, the skeleton was repositioned for display ten years ago with the help of the Leeds Philosophical and Literary Society.
