This Ghanaian baby wrap, here worn by Dora, has gone on display as part of the exhibition. It was brought to the UK by Dora's mum (R), when she left Ghana in the 1970's.

One item on display is a dress worn for feeding nearly 200 years ago. Although it might look like a typically restrictive dress from the 1830’s, a closer look reveals it has been adapted for a mother to breastfeed her baby through a cleverly concealed opening.

A ‘Little Lord Fauntleroy’ style all-in-one outfit from the 1880’s, the equivalent of onesies worn by children today.

The exhibition also explores changing attitudes to maternity wear, and on display is this feeder dress from the 1830's.

The then called skeleton suit was introduced in the late 1700’s. It is similar to the onesies children wear today.

The street marshals were given a special commendation by Councillor Mary Harland.
