Kat Baxter, Leeds Museums and Galleries' curator of archaeology, with the lion coffin was made by world famous Ghanaian coffin carpenter Paa Joe. Leeds City Museum’s Living with Death exhibition, which opens today (May 3) features a remarkable array of objects spanning thousands of years of world history and tradition which all explore how different cultures experience death, dying, and bereavement.
