Work available helping Leeds people register to vote

Leeds City Council is looking for people to work evenings and weekends as electoral registration visiting officers (ERVOs) between Saturday 31 October and Sunday 22 November.

ERVOs will carry out visits to households where a response hasn’t already been received from electoral forms posted to homes. The ERVOs will visit households and people to encourage them to register to vote. It is mainly evening and weekend work.

Susanna Benton, Electoral Services Manager, Leeds City Council, said:

“The role of visiting officers is really important as we want to encourage as many people as possible in the Leeds district to register to vote

In order to carry out this role you must be able to attend training on Saturday 24 October (9.30am – 10.30am) OR Friday 30 October (5.15pm – 6.15pm).

You must also be available to collect your forms and equipment from Leeds Town Hall on Friday 30 October between 8am and 5pm, and return them on Monday 23 November.
