Places are going fast for this free event being held at Mercure Leeds Parkway hotel on 28 November. Landlords and agents are encouraged to sign-up now to take advantage of hearing how Leeds City Council is working with landlords in the private rented sector to meet the growing need for affordable high quality homes.

The event will feature contributions from the Department for Work and Pensions and Residential Landlords Association, together with key speakers from Leeds City Council and a range of stalls from private sector industries and LCC partner organisations.

Key areas of the conference will focus on the impacts of Universal Credit, new Energy Efficiency Standards regulation, recent trends and issues affecting the private rented sector market, as well as updates on the Leeds Rental Standard.

Councillor Debra Coupar, Leeds City Council executive board member for communities said:

“With over 63,000 privately rented households in Leeds the council and private landlords have a responsibility to work together to ensure high quality affordable housing across the city.

“The Leeds Annual Landlord Conference has become a standout event in the sector and is growing in popularity every year.

“Coming together to discuss the key issues such as Universal Credit and the new wave of regulation shows our commitment to working with landlords to keep this valuable sector thriving and improve standards for tenants.”
