Senior councillors set to approve support for new affordable housing in Leeds

Members of Leeds City Council’s executive board will be asked to approve schemes for new affordable housing at seven sites in the city next week (Weds 19 April).

As part of the council’s priority aim of delivering 1158 new affordable homes per year, the proposed 60 new homes are at the following locations:

-Sutton Park, Halton Moor

-Back Lane, Armley

-Chatsworth Road, Gipton

-Nesfield Gardens, Belle Isle

-Primrose Hill, Boston Spa

-Hedley Chase, New Wortley

-Regent Terrace, Hyde Park

The schemes will be built through the council’s Right to Buy replacement programme, providing grant funding to registered providers and third sector organisations. The schemes feature a mix of housing types, including bespoke properties for families with specific needs due to disability as well as care housing and new facilities for St George’s Crypt.
