Popular jobs fair returns to White Rose Shopping Centre next week
A range of employers will once again be out in force at a popular jobs fair held in a Leeds shopping centre next week.
On Thursday 10 August from 11am-9pm a whole range of events and services will be on offer at the White Rose Shopping Centre, starting in the Central Atrium area: get advice on looking for work, jobs and training opportunities; top hints and tips about what it’s like to work in the centre and chat to businesses about their current and seasonal vacancies in a range of hospitality, retail and customer service roles. Employers present will include; Marks and Spencer; Lime Yard; Pandora; The Fragrance Shop; Disney Store; Lush; Men Kind; Game; Yours Clothing and The Entertainer.
With 266 people moving on to full and part positions after visiting last year’s White Rose Shopping Centre jobs fair, this really is an event not to be missed for anyone wishing to secure a new career.
People are asked to bring along multiple copies of their CV.
Anyone wishing to update their CV in preparation for the jobs fair can do so by visiting any of Leeds City Council’s jobshops at: www.leeds.gov.uk/Jobshops

Councillor Mohammed Rafique, Leeds City Council’s executive member for employment, skills and opportunity said:
“The turnout at last year’s White Rose Shopping Centre jobs fair was absolutely tremendous, and it was brilliant to see 266 people from the event go on to gain meaningful full-time and part-time employment.
“Once again I am delighted to say that a variety of employers are lined up to attend this year’s event, who will be more than happy to discuss the vacancies they have to offer. Our jobs fairs are continuing to move from strength-to-strength, and we look forward to welcoming what I am sure will be another great crowd on August 10.”
Steven Foster, General Manager of White Rose Shopping Centre, said:
“We’re delighted to be hosting the jobs fair here at White Rose once again. With the addition of six new restaurants this summer and an 11-screen cinema coming later this year, there are plenty of employment opportunities in the centre for those across south Leeds and indeed West Yorkshire.
“We’ll look forward to hopefully topping last year’s number of 266 visitors moving into employment following the fair.”
