Millennium Square ready to roar the Three Lions to Euros final glory

Events Millennium Square

Tickets to watch on the big screen on Sunday night sold out

A sold-out Millennium Square will be the place to be on Sunday night as England bid to make history by winning the final of Euro 2024.

The square and big screen at the heart of Leeds city centre will be a focal point as England fans roar on Gareth Southgate’s Three Lions against Spain in the final, with gates opening at 6:30pm ahead of the 8pm kick-off.

Such was the level of demand, tickets to watch the match on the screen in Millennium Square sold out in less than three hours.

Those with tickets will enjoy the full Euro 2024 Fanzone experience on the square, with a specially-created secure arena featuring a licensed bar, food stands and live pre-match entertainment.

Victory for England would see the men’s national team become European champions for the first time, going one better than the final heartbreak of Euro 2020 and lifting a first major international trophy since the iconic World Cup triumph in 1966. It would also see them emulate the achievement of the England national women’s team, who famously become European champions in 2022.

Lord Mayor of Leeds Councillor Abigail Marshall Katung said:

“Good luck to Gareth Southgate and his team as they look to make history by winning Euro 2024 on Sunday night. Everyone in Leeds and the whole country will be behind them cheering them on. The atmosphere in Millennium Square for those watching is sure to be amazing, as shown by how quickly the tickets sold out. It promises to be another must-watch match so hopefully everyone enjoys it safely and England can bring home the trophy on a historic night.”
