Longer opening hours for recycling sites

Clocks going forward this weekend mark the return to longer opening hours for the city’s recycling centres.

From Monday March 28 the city’s eight recycling centres will stay open from 8am to 6pm.

The Kirkstall site remains closed for refurbishment.

All other sites are open seven days a week so residents can re-use and recycle a wide variety of items.

To find out what can be recycled, residents can use the council’s handy new ‘what goes where’ interactive tool.
