Leeds Valentine’s Fair brings half-term fun back to Leeds city centre this February

Events Millennium Square

Leeds will once again be filled with lights, laughter and family excitement this February as the Valentine’s Fair returns to the city centre from Friday 13 February to Sunday 22 February 2026.

Leeds City Council is again teaming up with International Funfairs to bring the UK’s best‑known Valentine’s Fair back to Millennium Square, Victoria Gardens and Cookridge Street, transforming the area into a vibrant hub of rides, games and food stalls throughout the half‑term holidays.

First held in 1992 and widely recognised as the country’s original Valentine’s Fair, the event continues to be a highlight of Leeds’ winter events calendar.

Opening on Friday 13 February at 4pm, this year’s fair promises a lively mix of high‑energy attractions and well‑loved family favourites. Visitors can look forward to exciting headline rides including the 360° Superstar, the towering 40metre Booster, the huge swinging Devil Rock, and the wheelchair-accessible Leeds Wheel of Light. Families can also enjoy classic dodgems, the Waltzer, and a wide array of children’s rides suitable for younger thrill seekers.

As always, guests can look forward to a tempting range of fairground food, with hot dogs, churros, doughnuts, candy floss and cosy hot chocolates available across all sites.

Roger Tuby of International Funfairs commented: “We’re excited to bring a fantastic mix of rides, games and food stalls to Leeds this February. Our aim is always to create a fun, welcoming and memorable experience for visitors of all ages, and this year’s line‑up offers something for everyone - from big thrill rides to family attractions and accessible features. We look forward to seeing the city centre buzzing with energy throughout the half-term holiday.”

Councillor Jonathan Pryor, Leeds City Council’s deputy leader and executive member for economy, transport and sustainable development, said: “Each year the Valentine’s Fair brings some much-needed light and joy to what can sometimes be a dreary time of year.

“We’re looking forward to hosting the fair again this year and to see people out enjoying the rides, food and entertainment.”

This year’s fair will be open daily from 12pm until 9.30pm (10pm on Fridays & Saturdays) (opens 4pm- Friday 13 February). Entry to the site is free, with individual admission fees for all rides and attractions. Discounts will also be available for Leeds Card and Breeze Pass holders.
