Leeds Street Feast serves up world flavours and live music this weekend

Free to enter, Leeds Street Feast will include some of the city’s favourite flavours, serving everything from Mexican street food and Venezuelan dishes to Texas-inspired BBQ, Thai cuisine, Brazilian specialities, sourdough pizza, bao buns, gourmet sausages and Canadian poutine. 

The festival's drinks offering will also feature some of Leeds’s favourite names, including Kirkstall Brewery, Piglove Brewing Co, Sela Bar, Fizz Bar and Lemonology, serving everything from craft beer and cocktails to Pimms and prosecco throughout the weekend. 

Visitors can enjoy more than 20 traders across the weekend, with a wide range of dishes to suit different dietary requirements, including vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free choices.

Alongside the food offering, there will be a packed programme of live music, DJs and entertainment throughout the weekend, with live performances from Salsa Chubasco and Gustavo Andrade and The Brasukas, alongside a line-up of DJs including DJ Lubi, DJ Gip Dammone, DJ Roze Gold, DJ Bespoke, DJ Muddy Brown and El Caspete DJs. Visitors can expect everything from salsa and samba to soul and global beats throughout the weekend.

Visitors can also take part in a special Chilli Wing Eating Challenge hosted by The Chilli Shop on Sunday, giving brave food fans the chance to put their spice tolerance to the test.

Councillor Salma Arif, Leeds City Council’s executive member for economy, said: “Leeds has a food and drink scene to rival any city, and it’s going to be fantastic to see such an exciting and diverse selection of local traders on the square for what will be a summer celebration to remember.

“Millennium Square is such a unique venue for outdoor events at the heart of the city centre and our eclectic programme brings the space to life in so many different ways each and every year.”
