Killingbeck and Halton delays expected for traffic signal work

People travelling through the Killingbeck and Halton areas this weekend are being advised to expect delays as work to upgrade traffic lights takes place.

The Halton Dial traffic signals need to be switched off while they are being replaced at the junction of the A64 York Road and the A63 Selby Road and diversions will be in place.

There will be no right turn in or out of Selby Road during the switch-off, from 0600 on Saturday October 17 until 0600 on Monday October 19.

Road users are asked to take this into account for journey times and a shuttle bus will be operating to maintain a public transport link to Halton- further information about the bus is available on Metro’s website here (opens as a pdf).

This weekend’s work will also link the traffic signals at Halton Dial into the CityConnect cycle network scheme and has been planned to avoid week day rush hour traffic.
