Joint review of polling arrangements proposals for Leeds published

Initial proposals in a review of all polling arrangements covering districts, places and stations in Leeds have been published.

The joint review is being held alongside a community governance review of parish and town councils.  It does not affect the Leeds City Council boundary, the boundaries of the eight parliamentary constituencies, or the 33 city wards.

What may change is where voting takes place, the catchment areas for those districts and the boundaries, warding and other governance arrangements for parish and town councils.

After a period of consultation earlier this year the proposals are now available to view online here where further background information can be found.  The detailed proposals can also be downloaded from the web page as PDF documents.

To inspect physical copies of the documents you can make an appointment at the council's electoral services office in Leeds Town Hall by phoning 0113 378 4419 or by emailing pdreview@leeds.gov.uk.

Maps and other information relating to the new ward boundaries and existing polling arrangements, together with the terms of reference for the community governance review of parish and town councils are also available to see there.
