Full closure to Marsh Lane this weekend for next stage of district heating work

As part of our ongoing work to deliver the Leeds PIPES Network there will be a full closure on Marsh Lane this weekend.

From Friday 10^th August at 8pm, the full closure will be in place in both directions on Marsh Lane until 13^th August at 5:00am to allow for pipes to be installed as part of the project being carried out by Leeds City Council and Vital Energi to carry heat from the Recycling and Energy Recovery Facility (RERF) to provide hot water for heating in local households and businesses in east Leeds.

Full traffic management will be in place with a diversion and signage for road users to follow. This element of the work is being carried out over the weekend to minimise disruption as much as possible.

Breaking of the road will take place first, and then be followed by excavation of the road, before the pipes are ready to be installed.

From Monday 13^th August from 7am until 7pm each day, excavation of the road will continue, but be limited to the closure of just one lane of the southbound route to allow for the heating pipe to be installed. This work will finish on Friday 17 August at 7pm.
