Find out what the future holds for Leeds in city’s dedicated podcast
People with a passion for Leeds can listen to discussions about what the future holds for the city in a brand new episode of the Leeds in Conversation podcast, available next week.
The podcast gives people the rare chance to listen in to debates and conversations about some of Leeds’s biggest issues, from culture and communities to the environment and economy.
Leeds in Conversation launched last year and, after a successful start, is returning on Monday 29 March for a brand new series.
Series 2 will see a diverse range of guests join the conversation, covering everything from transport developments to the creative sector.
Episode 1, hosted by Eve Roodhouse, Leeds City Council’s Chief Officer for Culture & Economy, will discuss the council’s Our Centres project which looks at how Leeds can adapt to the long-term transformational changes and challenges it is faced with.
A new episode will drop each month in 2021 and you can listen to these, and series 1 in full, by searching Leeds in Conversation on all major audio platforms including Spotify, Google Podcasts and iTunes.
Throughout the new series, listeners will get the chance to be a part of the conversation by putting their questions to guests. Keep an eye out on Instagram @Leedscouncil and Twitter @LeedsIGS for opportunities to send questions in.
Councillor James Lewis, leader of Leeds City Council, said:
“There is so much amazing work going on in all sectors across Leeds that people don’t always get to hear about. Leeds in Conversation ensures all residents and people who are interested in Leeds can not only hear these conversations, but be a part of them too. I can’t wait for the launch of series 2 and I urge people to give it a listen.”
Tom Riordan, Chief Executive of Leeds City Council, said:
“Leeds in Conversation is a great listen for anybody who is passionate about the city. I took part in series 1 and I’m looking forward to being involved once again in series 2. Leeds is a remarkable city that is constantly growing and developing and this podcast gives everybody the opportunity to be a part of some of the really important conversations that are contributing to that.”
