Event aims to help tenants swap homes

Council and social housing tenants who want to move house can find out more about swapping their home at an upcoming event.

The BIG Winter Home Swap will help tenants find their ideal home through mutual exchange and advise how to register on House Exchange.

Taking place on Friday 26 February between 10am and 3pm in the banqueting suite at Leeds Civic Hall, council tenants can also learn if they qualify for the £500 mutual exchange incentive scheme.

Staff will be on hand to discuss general lettings, moving out of Leeds but remaining in social housing and people can find out about new homes the council is building in 2016.

Housing association staff will also be at the event to talk about properties they have available in Leeds.
