Enjoy the magic of Temple Newsam estate’s Springtime Babies event this Easter

A host of cute animals will be taking centre stage this Easter as Temple Newsam estate prepares to host its annual ‘Springtime Babies’ festivities.

Held from Saturday 24 March - Monday 16 April, visitors to Home Farm will have the chance to take part in a wide range of fun activities perfect for all the family. On offer as part of the programme each weekend, including Good Friday (30 March) and Easter Monday (April 2), are our very special ‘Meet the Newborns’ events held from 10am -12noon and 1pm-4pm.

Visitors will be able to enjoy a ‘Chick Trail’ around the farm and Temple Newsam House, and win a special prize. On offer in the house will be creative workshops from 10.30am - 4pm, where you can make your very own fluffy chick to take home.

Boasting over 400 sheep, cattle, pigs, poultry and goats, spring is always a wonderful time to see all of the new born animals at Home farm close up. To find out more about what the Temple Newsam Estate has to offer, please see: www.leeds.gov.uk/templenewsam

"Home Farm is a fantastic place for people of all ages to visit, and I am delighted to say that once again Temple Newsam estate will be hosting our ever popular Springtime Babies event this Easter.

“Once again there will be a packed programme of activities to enjoy, which includes each weekend and Good Friday and Easter Monday, our Meet the Newborns event which really is something not to be missed if you are a huge fan of cute animals.”

Temple Newsam is a great place to take the family for half term with something for everyone including plenty of open space to explore, play and picnic. The Stable Courtyard Tea Room is open daily serving light meals and snacks, while Mrs Pawson’s Shop also in the stable courtyard is a great place to buy Yorkshire produce.Home Farm offers the opportunity to explore life on a real working farm and meet some extraordinary characters. Over 400 sheep, cattle, pigs, poultry and goats are at Temple Newsam, and there is also the chance to enjoy traditional crafts or take part in demonstrations such as butter making and blacksmithing!Home Farm is open 10am until 5pm (summer hours) Tuesday to Sunday and Monday’s throughout the school holidays, Bank Holiday inclusive. Last entry is 45 minutes before closing.

Tea room open 10.00-5.30pm Saturday and Sunday, 10.00-4.30pm Monday to Friday.
