Don’t miss out on Amazing Animals at Temple Newsam Home Farm

A wonderful array of exotic animals and birds are once again set to take centre stage at a popular Leeds farm next week.

Held from 11th – 19th August, visitors will be able to enjoy a variety of family-friendly activities and events at Temple Newsam Home Farm and House as part of Amazing Animals week.

Included in the fun is the chance to experience exotic animal encounters, bird of prey displays and pony rides in the paddocks. In what is something not to be missed, mystery animal visitors from the city’s much loved Tropical World and Lotherton Wildlife World will also be making an appearance.

Also available to visitors alongside the Amazing Animals event will be the daily delights of Temple Newsam Farm. Boasting over 200 sheep, poultry, goats and pigs, as well as being host to an interesting mixture of recreated workshops and exhibitions, there is something to keep everyone entertained!

Temple Newsam House will also be open to visitors, offering families the chance to track down exotic beasts on the animal trail or enjoy stories and crafts.

While you’re there, make sure you don’t miss out on the chance to visit The Stable Courtyard Tea Room serving a selection of scrumptious light meals and snacks as well as Mrs Pawson’s Shop in the stable courtyard, which is a great place to buy Yorkshire produce.

Admission to ‘Amazing Animals’ is included in the general admission price at Home Farm or a joint ticket will give visitors access to both Temple Newsam House and the Farm.

Farm entry is priced at £3.90 for adults, £2.60 for children and under 5 years are free. A special family ticket is also available priced at £10.50 (two adults and three children up to the age of 16 *excluding children under 5 who are free).
