Comment on New Year's honours from leader of Leeds City Council, Councillor Judith Blake

Responding to the publication of the New Year's Honours 2018 list,  Councillor Judith Blake, leader of Leeds City Council said:

"Congratulations to all those in Leeds and Yorkshire on recieving their honours.

"It's great to see Steve Robinson honoured for all that he has done in his community for those with disabilities, and also volunteers Sheila Miller, Heather Mealing and Margret Stead  for all their hard work.

"Also congratulations to staff at Leeds Trinity Univeristy and University of Leeds for their honours.

"Finally a big congratulations to Hull City Council for all their hard work this year on City of Culture - it is great to see this work recognised."
