Bin collections continue on bank holidays
Residents are being reminded that bins will still be collected on the upcoming bank holidays.
If your scheduled collection day is a Monday, bins will be picked up as usual on the May Day and spring bank holidays on 4 and 25 May.
Neil Evans, director of environment and housing, said:
“We tend to see a dip in the number of people putting their bins out on bank holidays.
“People might not realise that our crews will be out collecting bins as its business as usual for us."
Bins should be out by 7am and put away as soon as is practical once emptied.
The city’s eight recycling centres will also be open. Residents will need to take their resident permit to access the sites.
If in any doubt about bin collection days, residents can download and print a handy bin calendar at www.leeds.gov.uk/yourbinday.
