Further update on Leeds Site Allocations Plan (SAP) public examination

Housing

Leeds City Council can today give a further update on the forthcoming public examination of the Site Allocations Plan (SAP).

Following the announcement earlier this week that the council had requested a revision to the schedule of the examination, this has now been approved by the independent examiners.

As a result, the sessions will now begin at 10am on Tuesday 24 October at Leeds Civic Hall. The initial part of the examination will cover areas of Leeds identified for use for retail, employment and green space. The sessions looking into housing are likely to now begin in February/March 2018, following the council’s further technical work to consider the implications of the latest evidence and revised government approach to housing need.
