Final countdown to Child Friendly Leeds Live

There’s still time to buy your tickets for the first ever Child Friendly Leeds Live, which takes place on 8 August on Millennium Square – but hurry as they’re selling fast.

A fantastic festival for children under the age of 12 (must be accompanied by an adult), families will be treated to lots of great entertainment on stage.

Music from Heart FM will get the party started until compere, Alex Winters, arrives to introduce performances from Rainbow Factory and Dance Action Zone Ltd.

Talented young people from Leeds, who have made it through to the heats of the esteemed ‘Breeze has Talent’ competition, will then perform and be judged and scored on originality, stage presence and technique. Finally, headline act Andy and the Odd Socks will take to the stage and finish the event off in style.

Child Friendly Leeds ambassadors and partners will be on hand to provide fun, free activities around the square including:

  • Climbing wall (Herd Farm Children’s Centre)
  • Bath bomb making (Lush) *morning session only
  • Parachute play, bubbles and pom poms (Boomchikkaboom) *afternoon session only
  • Festival glitter and face painting
  • Tennis skills (Active Leeds)
  • Balloon modelling (Tom Kent)

“We want as many children and families as possible to enjoy this summer festival of exciting live music and performances.

"We are especially grateful to our wonderful partners and ambassadors, who will be providing free, fun activities for children to get involved in whilst enjoying the entertainment.”
