Visit the Walled Gardens at Temple Newsam and plant two pumpkin seeds, one to take and grow at home and one for the gardeners to grow for you. Then you can come back at Halloween and carve your pumpkin.

Join this fun family activity finding and spotting stars through the museum. Takes place Tue – Sun in the Easter holidays, during opening hours.

Take part in a family workshop all about eggs in the incredible store at Leeds Discovery Centre.

The collection includes elephant bird eggs, snail eggs, cuckoo eggs, penguin eggs and even shark eggs.

Come and find out all about these magical marvels with Easter egg craft activities and a behind-the-scenes look at the store.

Takes place on April 3, 10am-12pm and 1-3pm

Experience an enchanting tale at libraries across Leeds over the Easter break.

Brought to life through dance, live music and song, Thumbelina is a gentle and playful performance.

Children are invited to take part in Thumbelina’s journey, build a shelter from sticks and escape with her from a hungry toad.

All children must be accompanied by an adult.

VR storytelling workshop at Leeds City Museum

Join Leeds City Museum this Easter and bring your story to life through animation, all within the immersive world of Virtual Reality.

Using VR headsets, design your very own interactive tale and incorporate museum objects into you stories using simple code blocks.

This workshop on April 9 caters to anyone intrigued by immersive storytelling and eager to experiment with digital tools and all equipment will be provided

Booking essential – please note the morning workshop is for ages 7-9 years and the afternoon workshop for ages 10+. Participants must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
