Appeal for help in finding missing Horsforth cat

Residents in and around the Horsforth area of Leeds are being asked to help find a very special missing cat.

Omar, a male hybrid savannah cat, went missing from a residence in Horsforth earlier this week and his owner is now appealing for help for the five-year-old to be found and returned home safely.

A savannah cat, Omar is slightly larger and taller than a domestic cat, and features the distinct pointed ears of the African serval he is related to. Given his exotic breed, Omar is licensed as a wild animal but as he has been a domestic pet all his life he is not considered to be any risk to livestock or the public, and the concern is around his welfare and safe return.

The owner has appealed for information about Omar locally through leaflets and social media, as well as making the police, RSPCA and local vets aware. If Omar is seen, please call 07973 340 022.
