Who you gonna call? Council launches new single contact number.

Getting in touch with Leeds housing services had been made even easier for the city’s 67,000 council tenants and leaseholders.

The council has been working hard to make sure the vital services that make up the new Housing Leeds department work together as well as they can to deliver an even better service.

Councillor Peter Gruen, Deputy Leader of Council and Executive Member for Neighbourhoods, Planning and Personnel said:

“I am delighted with the progress Housing Leeds has made bringing together teams from the former housing organisations in the city. The new single contact number will make it a lot easier for all council tenants to stay in touch with us and our standard office opening times will make the housing service we deliver consistent and fair across the city.”

“Housing Leeds teams are now using a single contact number and local rate alternative to meet the needs of landline and mobile phone users. As well as this, all housing offices are now open between 8:30am and 4:30pm (except on Wednesday when they close at 3:30pm for staff training). In many cases this means there are longer opening hours for tenants.

“The new contact numbers are 0800 188 4000 or 0113 376 0410 and these are available to be used now.”

Information for Editors

The previously existing numbers will remain in operation for around another three months with a message to redirect to the new number. After this there will be a message advising customers to redial.
