Statement from Leeds City Council Leader Cllr Judith Blake regarding second gold medal at Rio Paralympics for Kadeena Cox

“What more can we say about the performances of Leeds and Chapeltown’s Kadeena Cox, who today has won her second gold medal at the Paralympic Games, setting a new world record in the 400 T38.

“To compete in one sport is hard enough, but to take part in two and win medals is absolutely unbelievable.

“This just shows what an outstanding athlete she is, and why we are so very proud of her.”
