As a result of the local elections in Leeds on May 5 2016, the make-up of the city council is as follows:

Overall political composition:

Labour [LAB]: 63 seats (no change)

Conservative [CON]: 19 seats (no change)

Lib Dem [LD]: 9 seats (no change)

Morley Borough Independents [MBI]: 5 seats (no change)

Green: (GR) 3 seats (no change)
