Motorists warned of bridge closure

Drivers are being warned of a bridge closure throughout February.

Works are due to be carried out on Dean Lane bridge, near Yeadon, from 4 February 2013 to 4 March 2013.

The stone bridge carries Dean Lane across a tributary of Carlton Beck.

A recent inspection has highlighted that the bridge walls are showing signs of significant deterioration. The walls will be reconstructed in order to prevent further decline.

There will be a full road closure in place whilst the works take place. Dean Lane will be closed to traffic from 4 February 2013 to 4 March 2013 with access for residents only and a signed diversion route will be in place.

Leeds City Council apologises for any inconvenience this causes and asks that everyone affected bears with us while works are completed.
