Landlords come together to discuss quality housing in Leeds

Leading names in the Leeds private rental housing sector are joining forces with council bosses to discuss the future of quality housing in the city at this year’s landlords conference.

The Leeds Landlord Conference takes place on Wednesday 23 November at Mercure Leeds Parkway Hotel.

Places are going fast for the conference, but there is still the chance for landlords in Leeds to sign up to attend this free event and take advantage of hearing about how Leeds City Council is working with landlords in the private rented sector to meet the growing need for affordable high quality homes.

The event will feature contributions from the Department for Work and Pensions, Residential Landlords Association, Electrical Safety Representatives, together with key speakers from Leeds City Council and a range of stalls from private sector industries and LCC partner organisations.

Councillor Debra Coupar, Leeds City Council executive board member with responsibilities for communities said:

“The landlord conference has proved hugely popular in recent years and no doubt will be very well attended again this year.

“Having high quality affordable housing in the city is a real priority for the council, and in order to achieve this we need to work closely with the key stakeholders in the city’s housing sector.

“We want to promote good housing standards in the private rented sector in Leeds, therefore it is great to bring together a large number of landlords operating in Leeds to discuss the key issues.”
