Gym and dry side remain open at Scott Hall leisure centre after roof damage closes pool

The swimming pool at Scott Hall leisure centre will be
closed until further notice following damage to the roof caused by high winds.

The gym and dry side areas at the centre will remain open subject
to normal Christmas opening hours which can be found on the Leeds City Council
website.

A council spokesman said: “Following damage to the roof
above the swimming pool which occurred over the weekend, it has been necessary
to close the pool until further notice.

“Because of the current weather conditions and the festive
period, it may be some time before work can be carried out to repair the roof.

“However, we can assure the public that the pool will reopen
as soon as possible.”
