The performance of open-air classical music set in the grounds of the 12th century abbey will begin from 8pm on Saturday 7 September and will feature fantasy-inspired music performed by the Manchester Camerata Chamber Orchestra.

This year’s repertoire includes well known classical pieces from Rossini, Strauss and Offenbach together with the traditional rousing finale of Tchaikovsky’s 1812 overture accompanied by the now-famous spectacular illumination of the ruins and electrifying fireworks.
