Comment on David Stone MBE winning bronze medal at the London 2012 Paralympic Games

Lord Mayor of Leeds Councillor Ann Castle has issued the following statement on Leeds resident David Stone MBE securing a bronze medal today in the Mixed T 1-2 Time Trial event at the London 2012 Paralympic Games.

Lord Mayor of Leeds Councillor Ann Castle said:

“Congratulations to David for a great performance in winning a Paralympic bronze medal today. David is an amazing athlete, as he showed winning two gold medals in the last Paralympics in Beijing, and we are delighted he has now added to that with more success in front of the home crowd at Brands Hatch. Hopefully he can make it even better by winning another medal when he races again in the road race event on Saturday.”
