Bridgewater Place junction closure

Urgent alert regarding Bridgewater Place junction closure:

Bridgewater Place junction has been closed as of 10:45am today (Tuesday 21 October). The council will be monitoring the situation closely.

Advice is to plan ahead for travelling through Leeds city centre today as the Bridgewater Place junction will remain closed until further notice due to predicted high winds.

Pedestrians as well as traffic will be diverted from the junction of Water Lane, Victoria Road and Neville Street. It is expected that the diversions will need to be in place until the early evening, but conditions will continue to be monitored and reviewed throughout the day.

Traffic updates are available on Twitter from @LeedsTravelInfo and further updates about junction closures will be posted on the Leeds City Council website at www.leeds.gov.uk and on the council's press office Twitter feed @LeedsCC_News
