Kirkstall Missal

Handwritten passages in Leeds Central Library's precious copy of the Missale ad usum Cistercienci, which librarians believe may have been inscribed by monks at Kirkstall Abbey. Printed in Paris in 1516, the book is believed to have once belonged to the monks of Kirkstall Abbey and remarkably, it still contains notes and passages they delicately wrote by hand.
