Former X Factor star to attend special Breeze event in Pudsey

A former X Factor finalist will be in attendance at a special Breeze event held this week.

James Wilson, who famously touched the hearts of millions with his battle to overcome nerves on the hit TV show last year, will be entertaining young people at Pudsey Leisure Centre on the evening of Friday, September 15. As part of the event, James will also be speaking on how he overcame dyslexia and his confidence issues to fulfil his dream of performing on the big stage.

The evening will be split into two sessions;

8-13 years - 6pm-7.30pm.

13-18 years - 7.30pm-9pm.

Councillor Lisa Mulherin, Leeds City Council’s executive member for children & families, said:

“We are delighted to welcome former X Factor finalist James Wilson to Pudsey Leisure Centre later this week as part of our Breeze Friday Night Project programme for young people.

“Not only will James be performing on the evening he will also be giving a talk to the young people in attendance about how he conquered his nerves and tackled Dyslexia to achieve his ambition of becoming a singer, which promises to be very inspirational.”

Councillor James Lewis, Leeds City Council’s executive member for sport, said:

“We are proud to be hosting during term time at Middleton, Pudsey and Armley leisure centres the fantastic Breeze Friday Night Project.

“The wide-range of activities on offer through the Breeze Friday Night Project are proving to be a great way for young people to not only have great fun, but also meet new friends which is brilliant.”

The Breeze Friday Night Projectare is run during term time for 8 to 19 year olds and split into two sessions, Juniors and Seniors.

We offer a wide range of activities from sports to arts and crafts, gaming and beauty.
