Comment on Yorkshire hosting 2019 UCI cycling road world championships

Leader of Leeds City Council Councillor Judith Blake said:

“This is more wonderful news for Yorkshire, bringing the cycling road world championships to the county in 2019. Following on from the amazing Tour de France Grand Départ in 2014 and the success of the Tour de Yorkshire, it will be fantastic to welcome the world’s finest cyclists to our county again with huge crowds and a watching global audience."
